Welcome to the blog for Sealed and Sent Forth!  We’re 8th and 9th graders in a yearlong program preparing for confirmation at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, Dallas, Texas.  We meet every Sunday from 9:02 to 9:50 am in the meeting room of the Youth House at Ascension.  We also sometimes get together for other special events outside Sunday mornings … check out the “Calendar” link above for the latest.

Here they are: the long-awaited masterpieces from our special lunchtime session last Sunday.

First of all, if you don’t know what “sweding” means, you really need to go here first and watch the trailer for Be Kind, Rewind.  Then prepare yourself to be, um, educated about the Old Testament in a whole new way.

Sweded!!

Our complete calendar from now through the end of December is now online!  Check out the “Calendar” tab at the top of this page for all the info.

As of now, Alex, Ned, Sam, ChiChi, Courtney, Garrett, Joey, Hannah, and Allison are members of the class.  If you are in the 8th or 9th grade and are not yet confirmed and you want to join, it’s not too late … but it will be soon, because we’re covering a lot of ground already.  So join us this Sunday from 9:02 to 9:50!

And may it not be the last.

Welcome to our new page!  This is for all the members of Sealed and Sent Forth, our confirmation class at Ascension for 8th and 9th graders this year.

We’ll be starting on Sunday, September 7, with class from 9:02 to 9:50 … followed by lunch together at the Youth House after church from 11:45 to 1:30.

Watch this space for updates!
